Our favourite places in summer

At last, it's here, the long-awaited summer. It is nice and warm, the short clothes are unpacked and the bikini taken out of the closet. With sandals and flip-flops on your feet your are ready to go for a swim in the pool or the lake. Here at the Riederalm you can experience a summer in paradise. Many activities are offered here, whether you are travelling with your family, on a single holiday or with your partner: there is something for everyone.

In the morning you start your day enjoying a rich breakfast buffet, which now even offers a bigger selection. Then you go for a leisurely hike to one of our many mountain lakes. On our local mountain, the Asitz, there are two lakes. In winter they are used as reservoirs for snow production and in summer they are great places to take a rest on the mountain. The crystal-clear reservoir 'Stille Wasser' (quiet waters) above the Asitzbahn middle station fits perfectly into the beautiful mountain landscape. The sight, when the Leoganger Steinberge mountains reflect in the crystal clear water, is balm for the soul and you sense and feel yourself again. You have an impressive view of the Leoganger Steinberge mountains on the unique floating platform. Around the lake, you will find resting beds that are ideal for reflection and relaxation.

After the enjoyable hike to Wildseeloder lake, the highlight of the day for families is the leisure and family park 'Timok's Wilde Welt' at the middle station Streuböden. Here the children discover life in nature, climb in the forest rope course, find inspiring water games take the Alpine Coaster down the mountain.

The panoramic indoor pool 'Der Bergsee' and the 20-metre-long outdoor sports pool offer carefree bathing and swimming pleasure for parents. The indoor swimming pool in the Riederalm is truely unique, revealing a fascinating panoramic view of the surrounding Pinzgau mountain world. You can swim directly from the indoor to the 20 m long outdoor swimming pool, where guests can relax on comfortable massage beds while the children enjoy the wellness area. The perfect place for parents seeking relaxation!

In the afternoon, it is best to take a bike ride, where the wind cools pleasantly. Here you can enjoy challenging mountain bike tours as well as cosy (e-)bike routes across the entire region and you will arrive at 'secret' places that you had never discovered before.

After an exhausting bike tour or hike, relaxation and recreation is the thing to do. The huge 2,000 m² wellness area offers pure water fun and wellness. The children, who are full of energy again after a little afternoon snack, can enjoy a lot of fun in our water slide. Constantly up and down, and everone tries to beat their best time with the popular time keeping. Adults, on the other hand, enjoy the warm water in the thermal pool, relax on our lawn or simply relax in our saunas and relaxation rooms.

This is how varied the perfect day of your holiday with us can be. To fully enjoy the programme, however, one day is far more than too short.
