REASONS FOR A HOLIDAY IN THE SKICIRCUS SAALBACH HINTERGLEMM LEOGANG

Since last winter, there has been a new orientation system for the entire ski circuit. All winter sports enthusiasts receive up-to-date information on all entry areas, for example piste and lift status as LED display or an overview of the entire area, divided into alphanumeric zones. This is great, because even if you have been in the ski circuit several times: The countless kilometres of pistes - to be precise, it is a whopping 270 km - can be managed easily and safely and above all enjoyably with the smart slope guidance system in any weather. The new ALPIN CARD Navigator App makes orientation even easier, because the app takes mobile and digital directions to the desired destination via all mountains and descents.

No more shouldering your skis! Good news for all those who do not like to carry skis and snowboards, but prefer to make a ski turn directly in front of the valley station. The ski connection between the Bernkogel (piste 146) to the A1+A2 Schattberg X-press will bring great extra comfort for all winter sports enthusiasts starting next winter. The roughly 6 to 10 metre wide ski track runs through a 25 metre long underpass and over a whole length of 300 metres from the piste 146, just above the G1 Bernkogel mountain lift valley station, directly to the parking lot of the A1+A2 Schattberg X-press.

In the summer of 2020, a two-year construction project to further improve snow guarantee was launched in Hinterglemm. The new reservoir Rosswald with a usable capacity of about 230,000 m³ is located directly on the high-altitude trail and on the multifunctional trail between Rosswaldhütte and Wieseralm. Large amounts of snow can now be produced in addition to the previously used Filzen reservoir at the Reiterkogel. Ing. Sepp Schwabl, operational director of the Hinterglemmer Bergbahnen mountain lifts states: 'The reservoir currently under construction will supply the ski area between Rosswald and Reiterkogel starting in winter 2021/22. Already this summer, the construction of the pumping station and necessary groundwork took place. After extensive renaturation work, this reservoir will also be a popular destination in the summer, because it blends wonderfully into the picturesque surroundings of the Rosswald. Due to the good accessibility, the reservoir is a perfect location in summer. In the summer of 2020 and 2021, the adventure trail Berg Kodok is diverted due to construction work - but from summer 2022 the lake will be integrated into the course of the theme trail. The high-altitude trail between Reiteralm and Rosswaldhütte will be usable with a small diversion this winter, despite the construction site.'

A modern 10-seater cabin railway with two sections has replaced the old Zwölferkogelbahn mountain lift in Hinterglemm since last winter.
