Unterberghaus/Knappenstube

The Knappenstube 'Unterberghaus' snack bar is the starting point for the tours of the mine and after the visit you can enjoy the cosy ambience there and the wonderful local cuisine. Also some very interesting maps of the mining district Schwarzleo can be seen here! Of course, there are also souvenirs that will remind you of your visit to the mine.
Since the 20th anniversary of the show mine in 2009, there has been a recreated stamp mill in the immediate vicinity of the Knappenstube, with which can be clearly demonstrated how difficult it was for the miners to extract the ore from the mined rock.
In winter, a visit to the show mine is not possible, but it is worth a walk or a romantic sleigh ride to the Knappenstube!
