Especially popular is our weekly guided family hike, where all our guests are always very motivated to hike along.

Summer holidays in Salzburg at the family hotel means clear mountain air, where you can really enjoy your holiday and where all the problems of everyday life disappear into the air. There are also plenty of entertainment options for the children - this is a holiday for families with us at the family hotel Riederalm .

A summer holiday in Leogang offers a wide range of sports and leisure activities for the whole family. From joint activities such as hiking or cycling tours to highlights such as a visit to the Leoganger Bike Park or the Flying Fox XXL.

Summer holidays for families at the Good Life Resort Riederalm means spending a lot of time together. Together, parents and children enjoy the clear mountain air while hiking, walking, Nordic walking, biking or the large number of family excursions . And holidays for families should of course also bring recreational value for all family members. While the adults relax and enjoy wellness, the children enjoy a whole new freedom on the hotel's own playground, the children's traffic park, in the directly adjacent bike park or in our new trampoline hall.

Children want to be active during the holidays and need a varied entertainment programme.

Family excursions in the region of Salzburg offer great experiences for all ages alike, and there are also many worthwhile destinations in the adjacent Tyrol for a nice trip with the whole family. Right next to our hotel you’ll see the valley station of the Leoganger Bergbahnen mountain lift. With the mountain lift you can comfortably get to the Asitz and from there have the wonderful panoramic view of the Pinzgau mountain world. At the middle station, the fascinating Senses Park awaits, which is interesting for all ages. At various stations, all five senses are addressed and animated. In Leo's Water World there is a walk-in waterfall, a Kneipp basin and a stimulating barefoot path right through the water. On the herbal and alpine plant path you will find over 80 different plants, trees, alpine flowers and aromatic herbs. During the summer season, two ascent and descent per day are free of charge for our hotel guests with the Saalfelden Leogang Card. The mountain lifts in Saalbach and Hinterglemm are also included. There you will also find various game hiking trails.

On the trail of the element water! The crystal-clear reservoir 'Stille Wasser' (quiet waters) above the Asitzbahn middle station fits perfectly into the beautiful mountain landscape. The very sight of the reflecting water with the Leogang Steinberge mountains in the background has a calming effect on the senses. In the Kneipp area you can feel the effect of the cold water on the body, you can find your balance on the stones and the path around the lake is perfect for stretching your legs. Sit on the shore for a while afterwards, relax on the resting beds or enjoy the view on the unique floating platform.

In the amusement park there are mega hits for the whole family. In the pirate ship swing, in the giant carousel, in the roller coaster or in the western comet, it is fast, wild and exciting. A splendid pleasure is the Wild Raft ride. Courageous people dare to go down the Devil's Slide, which slides down 10 metres in near-free fall, or to the giant bouncy cushion, on which they fly almost to the sky. In the petting zoo, cute animals wait for their little visitors. The children can watch the animals, pet them, play with them and even ride on the ponies for a few laps.

The Hochsöller Bergbahnen mountain lifts take you up to the 'Hexenwasser' (witches' water). In the idyllic nature adventure park you will encounter the element of water in many forms. Hexen-Bergbach mountain stream, water chutes, climbing ponds and mud basins as well as more than 30 stations, you’ll never be bored. Here you can dive in, be amazed, learn and understand. On the long barefoot trail over grass, mulch and stones, you come in close contact with nature and stimulate your reflex zones. In the Hexenwasser Park, old, almost forgotten traditions are also revived: grinding grain, baking bread, cheese or distilling liquor. You can watch, learn and join in wherever you are.

On 15 hectares you can observe more than 200 animals in the wild in the Ferleiten Wildlife Park. Children get to know the animals of the forest and the mountains - wolves, brown bears, lynx, bison, raccoons, marmots, wild boars, deer, stone deer and owls. Teaching and display boards provide information on the flora and fauna of the Alps. The amusement park offers games and fun on 20,000 m² in the middle of an impressive mountain world. Here, small visitors get their money's worth! The Wildpark Express, a large car scooter tram, water games, a giant slide and a trampoline ensure action and movement. The Small People Tavern and the Buffalo Bar serve drinks and snacks. Parents can watch their children from the terrace of the inn.

Up to Mount Kodok and into the fairy-tale world of the goblin and the clown! Once at the top of the mountain, a 1.8 km long circular hiking trail takes the young hikers to the magical fantasy world of goblin Kodok. Motor skills, grip and courage are required at the numerous game stations such as 'The Sad Rocks', 'The Dark Gorge' or 'The Secret Message' along the natural path. The start is at the ticket office of the Reiterkogelbahn valley station, from where the clown Montelino leads through the hunt for the goblin on Mount Kodok. The aim of the adventure trail is to recover the cap of clown Montelino, which the dark goblin Kodok stole from him and hid well in a secret place. And the kids have to solve 10 puzzles. The children receive an adventure pass.

An excursion into the future of energy. The two high mountain reservoirs in Kaprun are already over 50 years old, but are still today a marvel of technology. This is because the reservoirs generate a lot of electricity at an altitude of over 2,000 m. Especially in spring, the turbines run at full speed driven by meltwater. The two reservoirs integrate perfectly into nature due to their fjord-like appearance and are definitely worth a trip. In summer, they can be visited daily.

The Krimml Waterfalls are impressive, powerful and unique in this form in the region, because they are after all the fifth highest waterfalls in the world. With an altitude of almost 400 metres, the Krimml waterfalls transport an 'entire water world' over three cascades at the exit of the valley into the depths. An average of 5.6 m 3 water pounds into the depths per second. In the ranking of Austria's most sought-after attractions, they are among the top ten.

The Eisriesenwelt Werfen is not only a breathtaking natural spectacle, but is clearly the largest ice cave in the world.  The unique cave labyrinth with waterfalls, stairs and curtains made of frozen ice covers more than 42 km in length. The first, roughly one kilometre long part of the cave system, is covered with imposing ice formations and is accessible to visitors. Since the cave is protected as a historical monument, special emphasis was placed on nature conservation.

On Top of Austria, this is the Grossglockner with its 3,798 metres above sea level. In order to allow non-alpinists to experience the feeling of the summit on Austria's highest mountain almost up close, the Großglockner High Alpine Road was built, from which one can enjoy a view of over 30 three thousand metre peaks. The 48 km long pass road leads with 36 turns deep into the centre of the largest national park in Austria. Numerous panoramic stations and stops for refreshment as well as exhibitions along the pass road invite you to take a break The highlight for vintage car drivers is certainly the car exhibition at the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe with a magnificent view of the Großglockner and the Pasterze.

The treetop path is considered to be the highest mountain hiking trail in Europe and, together with the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps, is a unique destination in the world. Walk on the 1 kilometre long circular path, 40 metres above the ground, amid the high treetops of the spruce trees.

Many stairs, towers, bridges and platforms lead to magnificent viewing platforms that delight all ages alike. The path is particularly beautiful in the darkness when it is beautifully romantically lit. The Golden Gate Bridge is 200 m long and forms a 1 km long circular path together with the treetop path, which can be walked not only in summer but also in winter.

The High Ropes Park in the Hinterglemm valley is an exciting adventure for the whole family. You will follow the climbing route at an airy height. There are different heights and levels of difficulty, all of which require courage and skill. In addition, there are magnificent views of the Glemmtal valley. The high ropes park Saalbach is the largest in Austria and impresses with three gigantic ziplines at an altitude of 100 m.
